Fast food has been a favorite among children almost dating all the way back to the opening of the first McDonald’s restaurants. You can hear it now in your sleep, can’t you? The incessant calls from the backseat of the car of tiny voices crying out, ‘Oh, can we please go to McDonald’s?’ (or Wendy’s or Burger King, etc). And while the food may be considered something of a treat to the little ones, there’s a host of opportunity within them to play some games, uncover some history, and have fun in the process.

You can have prizes for this scavenger hunt that can include dinner meals (kid’s meals, of course), or even gift cards to the restaurant so they can treat you out next time! Most of these questions and clues are answers that can easily be found on the Internet and the reason that they are not listed here is that you can participate in the fun as well. Who knows, your kids might actually be surprised that they can find out information better than you.

You can divide the teams up into groups of two or more or make everyone answer them by themselves. For added fun, you can visit each one of these establishments and limit the way you find the answers to asking employees and see if they can give you the correct ones.

They love fast food, so don’t you think it’s about time that they knew something more than the menu items? Also, be sure to try and educate the kids a bit more about the health benefits and risks of some of the items on the hunt.
